Details
- Oily Rag condition an excellent restoration project
- The photos are as is, I have not done anything to the bike apart from clean the odd area to show the potential. The dirt and oil have preserved many parts from corrosion
- The V5C is NOT present. The number plate comes with it - it may be possible to apply for this number from thr DVLA .
- Originally supplied by Tower Products
Engine
- Engine is not seized though I have not tried to start it
- Engine fins are not damaged
- Mileage on the speedometer is 5095
- Carburettor and airbox are intact
- Fuel tap and cap present
- Fuel in tank so would assume not badly rusted internally
- Exhaust is in good condition and I would think could be decarbonised
Bodywork
- Good Solid Frame
- Rear Rack has some surface rust
- Rear Light not damaged
- Front Light in good condition with no cracks
- Pedals are Way Assauto and are in good condition
- Seat damaged
- Levers and grips in good condition
- Plastic footrest present and not damaged
- Rear Wheel, all spokes present and wheel true. Some rust have cleaned a small part to see what could be done with a little elbow grease
- Front Wheel, all spokes present and wheel true. Some rust have cleaned a small part to see what could be done with a little elbow grease
- The patina would suggest that the bike has been repainted at some stage during its life as some over painting in some areas
Summary
- Oily rag restoration project which should be quite easy to do
- These models are becoming rarer to find so this should also prove a bit of fun and good investment.
