Becoming a very rare bike to now find in running condition

  • 1969 Honda P50.
  • Registration V5C document is with the bike
  • The bike is original and mostly there with its original front rack and number plate being a nice feature
  • Please take a look at the pictures there may be some surface rust, but when you look closely the bike is actually not too bad for 48 years.

The bike was taken out of storage for photographing and after a few moments of Moped Malc magic was started easily. When just pushing the bike slowly back inside it fired up again without warning! This should offer an easy restoration for someone. Being a honda the engines were known for their reliability, which means it should come as no surprise it still runs well.

Background Information

The Honda P50 (known as the P25 in some markets) was introduced in June 1966. It was the last motor-wheel design by Honda (and probably by any other large manufacturer).

The P50 features a step-through frame made from steel pressings, leading link front suspension, plastic fenders and chainguard. The fuel tank is located above the rear fender, and the key distinguishing feature of the design is the 49 cc (3.0 cu in) engine being located at the extreme lower left rear of the frame, with all of the driveline components housed within the large hub of the rear wheel.

The engine is also 4 stroke- unusual when almost all pedal-equipped mopeds used simpler The 4-stroke does not require oil to be mixed with the petrol at every fill-up as the oil is in seperate casing.
