This is a delightful Velo Solex 1010 Model

Manufactured in 1957 the engine number is of the order 10534xx

This bike has been dry stored in the South of France for a number of years and is now available for sale.

It will come with a NOVA issue number as has been officially imported into the UK.

Good Points

- The bike has a lovely patina and was someone's pride and joy many years ago as they fitted additional Frame protectors to stop it being scuffed when mounting / dismounting

- We have fitted a brand new magento cover wih clips (approx £28)

- I have checked the bike with some fuel in the engine and it fired up and pushed me along nicely. (See further below Other Points)

- The bike is a joy to ride with it larger 600 x 45B wheels and upright sprung saddle seating position.

- The wheels have a pinstripe through the middel and do have age related surface rust.

- The original bell has a lovely sound to it.

- It is unusual to find a bike like this without the original metal fuel tank dented in as these machines often were dropped. Another good indicator this bike was cared for. 

- The chrome air filter top cover on the engine is a nice little feature.

- If you wish to register the bike for road use in the Uk, by buying from us you will be able to do so having the confidence that the bike has been NOVA declared, without the possibility of incurring additional import duty on the purchase price.

Other Points

We have not attempted to put fuel in the fuel tank as due to the age the old fuel has bits in. We would suggest before running that the fuel tank and pipes are cleaned, pump filters replaced and if neccessary the pump balls. As the new owner may wish to do a full restoration we have decided not to do this.

Summary

The Price does not include shipping so you will need to arrange collection. Most couriers are quite reasonable. For Export we may be able to help with packing for a fee. 

Due to the age and condtion the bike is non returnable/refundable.
