1958 Mobylette AV76 Moped SOLD

Mobylette AV76 – Registration 759 JRO (non transferable). V5C Present - engine / frame numbers match. V5C states declared manufactured 1958, but “JRO” registration marks were issued 7/60 according to A History of Motor Vehicle Registration in the UK. Frame number – 2855366. Engine number 2046261. MOT exempt – last MOT issued 18th May 2013 prior to the pre 1960 rule change.

Background:

The moped was purchased on 2010 and subject to a full restoration including re-spray (colour matched with inside of headlamp shell). New rims, spokes and engine re-build (new mains, gaskets, seals, condenser) receipts available. Handlebars and headlamp shell rim re-chromed. The original pedals with “M” letter are fitted.

Paperwork:

• Original Parts book (Sept 1959).
• Mobylette After Sales Service literature for model AV7 – Dec 1960 (photocopy).
• Mobylette Owners Guide (originally tatty) January 1966.
• Original tax discs for periods between 1963 and 1969 (5 tax discs in total).

Non-original items:

• The magneto HT coil has been changed from internal type (obsolete) to external frame mounted coil.
• Seat.
• Petrol tap has been changed to a new push / pull type to match the original.
