1962 Velo Solex 1700 / 2200 Autocycle Moped For Sale, Barn Find Restoration or Parts

This Velo Solex has a 2200 engine. The frame has a 1700 foot plate, which means the engine may have been replaced or the foot plate is incorrect.

The moped has been officially imported into the UK by Classic Moped Spares and a Nova certificate will be issued with the bike

We are aware of reports of fake Nova numbers being issued by private sellers and at least one customer has told us that they wished they had bought from ourselves rather than being sold bikes without genuine paperwork. HMRC can charge up to £1800 if the bike has not been Nova imported.

Only once payment is received will the Nova number and vat receipt be issued for purchase. This means that when you go to apply for a number plate, you will not be issued with taxes to pay.

By dropping a bit of fuel in the head we have managed to get this running.

The Velo Solex will need further fettling including the fuel system from tank to carburettor and engine cleaning out which is common for these machines

This moped is being sold as a project for restoration or parts

- Due to current Coronavirus rules, payment for the bike will need to made in advance before collection. Cash is not permitted.

- Our website has to charge a fee for delivery as cannot charge zero, however in this instance the delivery charge is a small pick up fee not delivery fee.

- Arranagement can be made to collect the bike at an agreed time and you or your courier will be able collect from our premises from a secure camera controlled area without coming into contact with anyone.

- Upon receiving the bike please adhere to the self distancing rules and you can spray the bike with disinfectant
