1970 Velo Solex Flash Moped for Sale

- In Original Orange and White.
- This is an extremely rare moped to find in this condition. I have never seen another model in such good original condition and it probably should be in a museum or private collection. The bike is not coated in a thin layer of oil or any other such tricks to make it look better than it is. What you see is what you get.
- With prices having increased over the past few years one in this condition should be a good investment.
- It has been dry stored in France in a barn for the past 40 years, and it is part of a very large collection we will be selling.
- The Moped has been imported by Classic Moped Spares and has been officially recorded onto HMRC NOVA system and a NOVA number wlll be supplied with the bike should you need it.
- I have not see many bikes in such amazing original condition, considering this is about 50 years old.
- The bike comes with its original pump, which alone is a valuable bit of kit.
- It will require a new rear replacement light lens as this is missing.
History/Specification
- The Velo Solex Flash was only produced from 1969 to 1972 where it was superseded by the Velo Solex 6000 in 1971 which used the same engine.
- The model was produced with two types of front forks and brakes. The model for sale has the more desirable front suspension and drum brakes.
- It has a drive shaft transmission
- It was speed limited to 25mph (40km/h)
- 120 mpg Fuel Consumption with a 2.3 litre fuel tank.
- Petrol/Oil Fuel Mix
Maintenance Done
Using Velo Solex service parts supplied from Classic Moped Spares to get the machine running the following new parts have been fitted:-
- New Carb Filter
- New Pump Membrane
- New Pump balls and seats
- Air Filter
- Replacement Main Jet 30.

As with any of these old bikes further fettling may be required as we have not taken the bike out on any long runs, due to not wanting to get it dirty.
