Raleigh Runabout RM6 Deluxe Moped

The bike benefits from some of the extras that the De-Luxe model has including legshields, rear rack and horn. To the purest the saddle is not original, but these newer saddles offer good comfort and in black it suits the moped very well.

This bike has been lovingly restored over the past few years, and runs like a dream.

The bike comes with paperwork. The lady who owned it before died and a duplicate copy log book was obtained. She is believed to be the only owner before the current owner. Although it says two former owners, one of them was created when changing to the new type log book.

Overall the bike is in very good condition, but not perfect due to the chrome, which is common for a bike of this age.

R.H Waring wrote about the The Raleigh RM6 Deluxe model as being launched in September 1965 and further improved to the Super Deluxe on 1st January 1966. Being an E registration also makes the bike even rarer as in 1967 fewer bikes were registered that year.
