Early 1966 Motobecane Velo Solex 3800 Moped for Restoration For Sale with NOVA Number

S3800 Model which is one of the easiest mopeds in the World to work on due to the common amount of parts available. 

The engine number dates this model as just after May 1966.

The bike has been dry stored in a barn for the past 40 years in the South of France.

These models were not as common as the standard branded Velo Solex so are a good collectors piece

- I have managed to get the bike running by adding some fresh fuel. The bike will require further fettling to get it running to original performance.

- I have also fitted a new front tyre, inner tube and rim tape to the front. 

The bike is in original patina with surface rust in places.

The saddle is in good condition complete with Solex Logo

The chrome on the handlebars looks quite good, though the central bolt is missing.

There are a few parts missing which can all be bought from companies such as Classic Moped Spares at reasonably low prices, such as engine jets, magneto cover, etc.

This would be a good restoration project and should be very rewarding.

The Moped has been recently imported into the UK by ourselves and under the NOVA regulations has been registered and a NOVA number will be issued with the bike to the purchaser. This will mean that if you wish to register it for road use the process will be alot simpler than without a NOVA  number.
