SOLD SOLD Raleigh RM12 Super 50 Moped SOLD SOLD SOLD

NO LONGER FOR SALE RALEIGH RM12

=== This bike has been sold for Export and it is a shame that this part of UK heritage will leave England. It is wth a heavy heart that we have had to do this. We were contacted by someone in the East Coast of England who claimed to be from a very well known UK Moped club to do with Auto Cycles and Raleigh Mopeds. Despite knowing part of the money was going to a terminally ill charity this person did not call to say he would be late, turn up or answer calls (unless phoned from a with held number). Normally it wouldnt bother me, but when I am trying to do things for terminally ill people this behaviour makes me sick.

=== Fortunately there are millions of good people out there!

=== The Enthusiast abroad was has now bought this will be getting one of the Uk's rarest bikes in the world so cant believe his luck!

=== The charity will get the money once the registration number plate is sold.

There are real people and real enthusiasts behind Classic Moped Spares with real feelings. Please leave us to do what we are trying to do best which is helping genuine enthusiats with parts.

The Raleigh RM12 was the last official model made by Raleigh UK and there attempt a higher quality higher performance machine.

It is well regarded as being the Holy Grail of the Raleigh Moped world. These bikes are extremelly hard to get hold of and for any collector of Raleigh Mopeds are the last in the set. I have had many enquiries about this bike and to give everyone a fair chance it is offered up for offers over £1200

The bike comes with a V5C with 2 owners since new and has its original number plate. The transferable number plate was valued in 2015 at £500, though the 66 represents the year it was made so is a very nice touch.

- The RM12 was fitted with a higher performance (9-1 compression ratio) engine as the RM5, but also has dropped handlebars, different styling and slightly improved performance. These machines were designed to do around 45 mph.

- The Moped is fitted with drum brakes front and back to help stop at the quicker speeds

- I intended to restore it and then sell it but due to a change in circumstances this is not likely to happen

- The bike I have running and it sounds great, though I have not done any road testing on it.

- There are few of bikes still in existance and they rarely come up for sale. It would be good if this went to an enthusiast to restore it. I have seen an amazing restoration done of this model

- This is an iconic bike made in 1966 the year England did win the football!

Offers are invited over £1200. A third of the agreed selling price will be donated to a hospice that helps people with terminal illness.

The moped is sold as a restoration project and due to the age sold for parts and not returnable
