Mobylette Coil Earth Strap Part Number 15941 (or 19888)

The Earth Strap was fitted on later models of Mobylette to help assist the ignition coil earthing properties

Mobylette did this in the 1970's in particular on the 50 series models onwards

This earthing strap can be used on all Raleigh and Mobylette Mopeds where you have the ignition coil code 125440 mounted on the frame and was reccomended by Aplins following advice from Motiobecane/Mobylette where suspected earthing problems occurred. 

A common problem could be painting a frame during a restoration which then led to a bad earth for the coil.

The Earth Strap is attached as can be seen in the image from the top mounting bolt to one of the coil fixing bolts.  When fitting a new replacement coil fitting one of these earth straps is also a good idea.
