Payment

Payment can be made via the website using Card Payments such as Visa, MasterCard, Direct Debit, etc.
All items are quoted in British Pounds Sterling (£). We are not VAT registered.
Providing correct contact details such as email and phone number will assist the courier with smooth delivery.
We do send confirmation and invoice emails to the email address you have provided and a paper invoice is sent with the goods. Please check your spam/junk folder first before contacting us.

For deliveries outside the Uk you may be required to pay duties, taxes and clearance charges. Classic Moped Spares will not be responsible for these costs. Additional costs are your responsibility. Any items that are not delivered due to refusal to pay import costs we may not be able to offer a refund
We may be able to get export costs lower using different companies so please do contact us and ask..Some products we have may be rare and unavailable anywhere else so other options may be available to get the goods to you, to most destinations..

Estimated Delivery Times

We do our best to ensure that our products are available to you within the time scales quoted. Classic Moped Spares has no liability for delay in any product ordered. You have the right to cancel delayed orders and request a refund by contacting us

All our items are sent using tracked services

Items will be delivered using Royal Mail or other Courier.

For UK deliveries if you have not received your item withing 2 weeks (4 weeks for International) from despatch please contact us.

For all Export Deliveries any applicable customs, duties and taxes are your responsibility. Due to the variation in these fees Classic Moped Spares cannot be responsible for import fees. We cannot provide refunds for goods that have been held due to refusal by the recipient to pay customs, duties or taxes fees.

UNFORTUNATELY WE ARE UNABLE TO DELIVER TO PO BOXES

- We are packing orders on a first come first serve basis. This means that we cannot change, alter or add to orders once they have been placed.

Returns Policy

If you’ve changed your mind about your purchase, please contact us within 14 days of receiving the item and return it within a further 14 days in its original condition with proof of purchase. We’ll exchange or refund it when we receive it provided it meets out terms and condition explained on this page.

By original we mean:

you have kept all the original packaging and labels in good condition and the product can be resold at full price.
you haven’t used the product

How to return

What can’t be returned

These products can only be returned if they are faulty or not as described:

Purchases received over 30 days ago
Items you’ve opened or unsealed, other than where necessary to inspect
Items without the original packaging or labels
Items or packaging in poor condition
Products made to your own specifications or ordered from third party suppliers as specially manufactured to order or pre-orders
Tools
Products that have been personalised for you

Downloadable products are not returnable.

If you return products which are outside our returns policy or if you don’t have proof of purchase, we’re unable to process a refund or exchange so please keep your invoice receipt or confirmation.

How you will be refunded

You’ll receive a refund within 14 days of returning the item to the same payment method used

Returning faulty items

If your product develops a manufacturing fault within 30 days of purchase please return with proof of purchase and we will exchange or refund it.

After 30 days, we will repair or replace the product in accordance with the terms of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Contact us if your item is faulty

None of the above exclusions affect your statutory rights, in particular your rights under the Consumer Rights Acts 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013

Returns Cost

You are responsible for paying for the cost to return the item to us. If they are found to be faulty or damaged then we will reimburse the return cost provided it has been agreed in advance. We will not reimburse costs because you choose to use a more expensive service. We have to be given a fair opportunity to physically inspect the goods.

Issues with your return

You should receive a refund within 14 days of sending the item back.

Due to our business being part time it can take 7 days before the item can be inspected. We will check the item and email you to confirm our decision. It can take the payment company 5-10 days to refund your payment method.

If you haven’t received a refund withing 14 days of sending the item back, please contact us.

We do not take responsibility for items returned to us by mistake. We cannot guarantee that incorrect items can be found or returned to you and we do not accept any liabilities for such returns. If you realise you have returned an item in error please contact us immediately with the order details.

Right to Refuse Sale

We take pride in the service that we have provided over the years to many thousands of customers. 99.994 % of problems are resolved reasonably, however sometimes we have to sadly say goodbye to those trying to spoil it for others, so that we can help those that want it.

We have the right under UK law to protect ourselves from any individuals (and folllowers influenced by them) that we suspect of trying to harm our business.

We may refund any order prior to dispatch or refuse to sell to those individuals (and suspected associates of) .

Examples include:

Messages which are threatening or grossly offensive; whether the message is through a post or through any form of electronic communication (Malicious Communications Act 1988)
Suspected false return fraud i.e. malicious damage, inappropriate storage/use, sending items to us that we did not supply, etc.
Blackmail or threatening behaviour (Computer Misuse Act 1990).
Timewasting by any communication method i.e. phone, email or letter etc
Any individuals or groups suspected to be involved in illegal or dangerous activities
Parts suspected to be fitted to mopeds modified beyond what they were originally designed for i.e.70cc kits.
Any other activity that we suspect the purpose is to cause financial loss

If you are unhappy that you find you cannot buy from us then you may send a message via the contact page.

We are under no obligation to sell to anyone, or respond, or provide reasons for refusal.

Social Media

We occasionally Administer our own Social Media pages to promote products or provide updates such as when we are closed. We may with your permission share images of your restorations if you allow us.

Some groups online and on Social Media can be extremely helpful resources of information from genuine enthusiasts who love to share how they have restored their machines.

Please make your own mind up and be careful of the motives of some online comments and images which may be misleading.

We hope Social Media can remain a place people can share good experiences, it can be a great source of information.
