Aplins Motorcycles of 395-397 Bath Road, Bristol finally closed it's doors on the 31st August 2021. Brian Aplin decided to close the shop to retire after over 60 years in the trade.

I found out Brian was retiring due to an article which was shared from the Bristol Evening Post to a number of Moped enthusiasts. I then popped down the next day on Monday morning to have a look at the 1929 motorcycle that was pictured in the article. I thought the stock would be too much for me to take on, and it was in the process of being counted, sorted, valued and readied for removal.

Many of my customers called and messaged me about what was happening to the stock. Brian at the last minute agreed to accept an offer so that I could keep the stock in the UK for Enthusiasts.

The deal was struck at the last minute and all of the stock redirected to Classic Moped Spares. Fortunately Classic Moped Spares closes in August so I hope to get some time to sort through it all!
